Distinct Content Strategies for Five Financial Firms
Five advisory firms needed ongoing content that could improve organic visibility, demonstrate expertise, and generate new business. Although they operated in the same broad financial-services market, their audiences, specialties, locations, and approaches to client relationships were different.
As Senior Content Strategy & SEO Manager at Paladin Digital Marketing, I owned the content and SEO strategy for all five accounts. I developed each firm’s keyword architecture, website content, topic clusters, quarterly editorial calendar, long-form content, and email campaigns around the people it served and the financial questions most relevant to its market.
Across the financial clients I managed, inbound traffic increased by 25% within three months. One advisor also doubled assets under management in two months through an inbound marketing and conversion funnel.

Five Firms Needed Five Different Strategies
The five firms operated in the same broad industry, but they served different clients and offered different types of financial guidance. Some led with education and retirement planning. Others emphasized personal relationships or specialized work with business owners.
I built a separate search and content strategy for each firm around its services, audience, approach, and local market. That meant targeting the financial questions prospective clients were actually asking instead of filling five websites with interchangeable wealth-management content.
I Owned the Strategy From Search to Publication
Content Had to Reflect the Firm and Its Market
Financial Content Has to Pass Compliance
As SEO Content Manager, I managed the client relationships and the content program for all five firms.
I developed the keyword architecture and topic clusters, wrote the initial website content, and planned quarterly editorial calendars. Ongoing monthly programs included four to eight blogs, an eBook, and email sequences.
Initially, I did the writing. During my final three months, I also assigned and edited work from additional writers.
The five firms operated in the same industry, but they were competing for different clients.
I built each strategy around those differences, producing distinctly different bodies of content.
One firm could build authority through accessible financial education, while another could go deeper into inflation, portfolio decisions, or market volatility. The content sounded different because the businesses themselves were different.
I researched company materials, advisor expertise, government and regulatory sources, market data, and primary financial resources.
Each firm had its own compliance process, so content also had to communicate complicated financial subjects accurately enough to move through professional review. That experience strengthened my ability to write persuasive content without overstating what the evidence supports.
